Redstone Ridge Construction built this passive solar, off-grid home in the foothills of Fort Collins, Colorado. We built this house from the ground up. The passive solar in this octagon home works especially well providing all the heat for the home unless it is a cloudy day. The windows facing southeast let in the morning sun warming the house first thing in the morning.
The large solar windows are recycled sliding glass doors. The solar panels on the roof provide all the electricity for the home.
